The Director General of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Mr. Khalid A bin Sulayem, and Mr. Sergey Krasnogor, Consul General of Russian Federation in Dubai and Northern Emirates, have reviewed the bilateral relations and discussed ways to strength ties, especially in tourism and commerce domains.

The Russian envoy called on Mr. bin Sulayem at the DTCM Head Office on Sunday (June 24). Both sides expressed the desire to further strength the relations between the UAE and Russia in general and Dubai in particular.

Mr. bin Sulayem briefed the diplomat about various ambitious projects taking shape in the emirate and other initiatives of the Dubai government.

Russia is an important source market for the Dubai tourism industry with year-on-year growth in the number of visitors.

Mr. Sergey said tour operators in Russia have been promoting Dubai as a result of the aggressive promotional and marketing agenda pursued by the DTCM.
