Communication is Education
In collaboration with Sheikh Mohammed’s Centre for Cultural Understanding, we have created an impressive collection of fascinating details about Islam and The Holy Month of Ramadan.
In addition, the knowledgeable representatives of Sheikh Mohammed’s Centre of Cultural Understanding will be available to answer your questions every evening from 8pm to 10pm.
’The Good Deed’
Did you know that charitable acts are an important element of the Holy Month of Ramadan?
The “giving to poor†is called Zaakat in Arabic. The literal meaning of Zakaat is purity. Its Islamic meaning designates the annual amount of wealth, food and property which a Muslim with the adequate means must distribute among the rightful beneficiaries. Zakaat is a remarkable institution and a major pillar of Islam.
The representatives of various local and international charity organizations will be present at the Centre, offering you the opportunity to contribute and learn more about their rewarding efforts.
Children’s Activities
Children will be able to enjoy a variety of educational activities such as:
- Story Telling
- Quizzes
- Cultural Displays
Calligraphy Exhibition
No Ramadan event would be complete without the beautiful touch of Arabic calligraphy. In the Islamic tradition, the calligraphic art usually existed as a part of the religious tradition, whereby religious text was produced to a level of an ultimate masterpiece.
The Touch of Arabia
An exhibition featuring the life and traditions across the Middle East is brought to you by the freelance travel photographer, Clint Lucas.
Clint, born in New Zealand, has lived in Dubai since 2003 and his work has been published by prestigious publications such as Lonely Planet, The New Yorker Magazine, Ritz Carlton International Magazine, Travel Trade Gazette, and many others.
The exhibition is displayed on Crescent Walk.
